Abuelita Rosa's Mexican Restaurant

The people behind the plates

Our family

Abuelita Rosa's has been part of Shawnee for 26 years. Marcial and Dolores built it from the ground up, cooking the recipes handed down from Dolores's grandmother, Rosa, the abuelita the restaurant is named for. They have looked after this community ever since, and many of the people who welcome you at the door have been here since the very first day.

“This is our family's kitchen. When you sit down here, you're family too.”

Marcial

Family owned in Shawnee for 26 years. Come in hungry, and bring whoever you like. There is room for the whole table.

The crew

Many of the people who welcome you at the door have been here since the very first day. They also take Halloween extremely seriously.
